Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs)
Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) are derived from skin cells that have been reprogrammed back into an embryonic-like pluripotent state that enables the development of an unlimited source of any type of human cell needed for further therapeutic purposes and various forms of cellular research.
iPSCs are cable of unlimited self renewal and differentiation into any cell type in the human body.
Focus points of iPSCs:
- Cell source for cell differentiation targeting therapeutic applications
- Disease modeling (3d organoids, phenotyping, gene expressions, molecular secretions, drug interactions, etc)
- Gene corrected cell banking
Our laboratory is a full-scale culture & analysis laboratory specializing in Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs). We have developed a protocol to induce pluripotency in adult stromal cells using a non-integrating mRNA method. Our protocols for the expansion, characterization, and cryogenic freezing are performed to international standards.
